The Yerevan Brusov State University Institutional Repository is an open-access digital repository operated by Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences (BSU) in Yerevan, Armenia. History and Founding

The repository was developed as part of broader efforts to advance open access in Armenia, supported by the EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) MINERVA project and related initiatives. The university adopted an institutional open access policy and established the repository to archive theses, dissertations, journal articles, and other academic outputs. A workshop series supported by EIFL in 2022 assisted in upgrading the platform to DSpace 7, improving usability and discoverability.

Parent Institution

Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences was founded in 1935 as the Russian Language Teachers' Institute and is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Armenia. The university is named after the Russian poet and historian Valery Bryusov and specializes in linguistics, foreign languages, intercultural communication, humanities, and social sciences. It is located on Tumanyan Street in central Yerevan.
