The J.A. Millar World War I Photographs collection is a digital archive held by the University of Victoria Libraries (UVic) in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It is part of the broader UVic Digital Archives, managed by Special Collections and University Archives at McPherson Library. The collection provides online access to photographs documenting the First World War, compiled by J.A. Millar.
The collection consists of photographs related to World War I assembled by J.A. Millar. These images document aspects of the war through a personal collector's lens and are preserved as part of UVic's digital heritage collections. UVic's Special Collections and University Archives hold a wide range of rare books, historical photographs, maps, and archival fonds related to British Columbia, Canadian, and Pacific Rim history. The VAULT digital repository platform (vault.library.uvic.ca) hosts this and other digitized special collections from UVic Libraries.
The collection is accessible online at no cost through the UVic VAULT digital archives portal, available 24 hours a day. Physical access to related materials in Special Collections is available by appointment at McPherson Library during regular business hours.
