Use of DataThe World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) is a non-profit, NGO founded in 1948. It is composed of 76 national newspaper associations, 12 news agencies, 10 regional press organizations, and numerous individual newspaper executives in 100 countries.
With a mission to defend and promote freedom of the press, support newspaper publishing development, and foster global cooperation, WAN-IFRA has provided consultation for UNESCO, the United Nations, and the Council of Europe. Representing over 18,000 publications worldwide. WAN-IFRA has headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany and Paris, France.
