The Victoria University of Wellington ResearchArchive (Te Puna Rangahau) is an open-access institutional repository operated by Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, in Wellington, New Zealand. It provides free online access to research outputs produced by university researchers, including theses, dissertations, journal articles, and other scholarly works.

History and Founding

The ResearchArchive was established in June 2007, running on DSpace software. It is registered with the Registry of Open Access Repositories (ROAR) and supports Green Open Access publishing for Victoria University of Wellington researchers. Over time, the university has also developed a parallel platform, Open Access Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington (hosted via Figshare at openaccess.wgtn.ac.nz), which serves as the university's primary open access repository for current research outputs with persistent DOI identifiers.
