Vancouver Tech Journal covers Vancouver's technology and innovation ecosystem through daily stories, a weekly Sunday Briefing, a daily Morning Report, and events. It is published by Overstory Media Group.
Vancouver Tech Journal was started in 2018 by William Johnson as a newsletter side project while he managed marketing and communications for Innovate BC. Overstory Media Group, founded in 2021 by Farhan Mohamed and Andrew Wilkinson, acquired the publication in 2020, and Johnson took it on full time as founder and editor. Johnson departed the publication at the end of November 2023, moving into a VP of Strategy and Operations role at Overstory Media Group.
