The University of Yangon Repository (UYR) is the open-access institutional repository of the University of Yangon (UY), Myanmar's oldest and most prominent research university. The UYR collects, preserves, and provides online access to the scholarly and intellectual output produced by the university's faculty, researchers, and students.
The University of Yangon was established in 1920 and serves as the country's leading comprehensive university. The UYR was developed in line with global trends in open-access scholarship and institutional repository management, using DSpace open-source software. It forms part of the broader digital library infrastructure managed by the UY Library.
The UYR holds academic publications, theses, dissertations, research reports, and other scholarly works produced by the University of Yangon community. The repository is designed to increase the visibility and long-term preservation of UY's intellectual output. It is accessible to users both inside and outside the institution, consistent with open-access principles.
The UYR is freely accessible online at uyr.uy.edu.mm. Users can search and browse holdings without registration. Submissions are made by UY faculty and students through the library's electronic publishing workflows. The repository is registered with international open-access directories to maximize discoverability.
