The University of Tehran Digital Thesis Services is a gateway provided by the Central Library and Documentation Center of the University of Tehran for accessing electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs) produced by students at Iran's oldest and most prestigious university. The service facilitates the discovery and retrieval of doctoral and master's theses held in the Central Library's collections.
The University of Tehran, officially inaugurated in 1934, is Iran's oldest modern university and home to the largest academic library in Iran. The Central Library and Documentation Center, housed in a building designed by architect Bahman Paknia (1964–1971), serves as the primary research library for more than 65,000 registered members and hosts over 5,000 users daily. As of 2020, the library had published over 41,000 doctoral and master's theses through its digital systems. The Digital Thesis Services page (accessible via the library's website at https://library.ut.ac.ir/en/page/9692/thesis-services) serves as a portal to this ETD collection.
The thesis services provide access to graduate theses and dissertations from all faculties of the University of Tehran. The Central Library's broader holdings include over one million books, periodicals, manuscripts, microfilms, historical documents, and photographs in Persian, Arabic, Turkish, and other languages. The manuscript collection alone comprises over 17,000 volumes.
