The UMS Institutional Repository (UMSIR) is the digital archive of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), maintained by the UMS Library. UMS is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. The repository was established to collect, preserve, and disseminate the intellectual, research, and scholarly output of UMS academic staff and higher degree students. UMSIR is powered by EPrints 3 and supports OAI 2.0.
UMSIR provides full-text access to publications by current UMS staff and higher degree students, including journal articles, newspaper articles, speeches, annual reports, academic exercises, past examination papers, conference papers, and theses. The repository's holdings reflect UMS's areas of strength including Borneo/Sabah studies, biodiversity, Southeast Asian history and politics, and Malaysian studies more broadly.
The repository includes journal articles on Malaysian media history and journalism studies, as well as newspaper articles authored by UMS academics. These materials document Sabah's regional history and the articulation of historical issues in Malaysian mass media.
The repository is freely accessible online at eprints.ums.edu.my without a login. Staff and students may submit materials through the repository's deposit interface. The UMS Library's University Archive and Repository Development Division is responsible for its operation. Contact: +6088 320000 ext. 2240 / 2325 / 2219.
