Use of DataThe Ukrainian Institute of National Memory (UINP; Ukrainian: Український інститут національної пам'яті) is a central executive body with special status, established on 31 May 2006, operating under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Its mandate is to form and implement state policy on national remembrance. Following a brief dissolution in 2010 under President Yanukovych and subsequent reinstatement, the institute regained its role as a central executive body following the 2013-2014 Revolution of Dignity. New legislation in August 2025 further redefined its oversight structure.

The institute has led Ukraine's decommunization efforts, including the development of legislation prohibiting communist and Nazi symbols and the opening of archives related to Soviet-era repression. It coordinates the rehabilitation process for victims of Soviet repression.
