Use of DataThe U.S. Press Freedom Tracker, a nonprofit organization based in New York City, is a database and website documenting press freedom incidents in the United States. It was founded in 2017 by the Freedom of the Press Foundation. The Tracker records arrests of journalists, seizure of their equipment, assaults, and interrogations at the U.S. border. It covers incidents involving national, state, and local authorities.
