Biography

Michael Turpin is executive vice president and chief revenue officer of Bay Area News Group, the San Jose, California-based publisher of The Mercury News and a group of daily and weekly newspapers across the San Francisco Bay Area. He is responsible for revenue strategy and leading the organization's transition to a digital-first business. He previously worked at the Santa Cruz Sentinel and holds a degree in journalism and finance from Syracuse University.
