The Record, also known as the Troy Record, is a primarily digital newspaper covering Troy, New York, and the surrounding Capital Region, with a print edition still published. It serves as the official newspaper of the City of Cohoes.
The Record was founded in 1896 as a broadsheet daily newspaper. It changed to a tabloid format on September 1, 2005. The paper's downtown Troy offices on Broadway closed in early 2019, after which operations shifted to a primarily digital model. The Record is owned by MediaNews Group.
