TRDizin (TR Index) is Turkey's national database of peer-reviewed academic journals, operated by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM (the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey's National Academic Network and Information Center). The database has been in operation since 1992, initially under the name National Databases (UVT). At the end of 2013, it was rebranded and relaunched as TR Dizin, developed in accordance with international standards to enable researchers to access national and scientific content electronically.
TRDizin indexes peer-reviewed Turkish academic journals across the main fields of Science and Social Sciences, including sub-fields of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Basic Sciences, Health Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Journals are evaluated and selected by specialist committees. TRDizin is not only a full-text database but also functions as a citation database. Journal applications are managed through the ODIS (Online Journal Monitoring System) platform.
Journals indexed in TRDizin are recognized by the Turkish Intercollegiate Board (ÜAK) for Associate Professorship applications, making the index a key tool for Turkish academic career assessment. TRDizin includes journals from all academic disciplines and provides citation analysis features.
TRDizin is freely accessible online. Users can search for articles, authors, and journals, and may access full-text content where available. The DergiPark platform, also managed by ULAKBİM, provides hosting services for journals indexed in TRDizin.
