Toronto, Ontario, Canada
The University of Toronto does not have a standalone journalism school. At its Scarborough campus (UTSC), a joint program with Centennial College offers an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Journalism combined with an Ontario Graduate Certificate in Contemporary Journalism.
The joint UTSC-Centennial program focuses on critical thinking, research, writing, and communications skills for examining news media, journalism, and society. Students spend their third year at Centennial College, complete a four-month internship in Toronto, and graduate with a portfolio built from a real community newspaper, online publications, and internet radio work.
The University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs previously ran a non-degree Fellowship in Global Journalism certificate program.
