Biography

Charles "Charlie" Tomlinson (died January 25, 2025, age 77) was vice president of business development at Today Media, the publisher of Delaware Today and Main Line Today magazines, where he worked for over two decades. A graduate of Temple University's School of Communications, he began his broadcasting career at small radio stations in Chester County, Pennsylvania, before becoming general manager of WCHE Radio in West Chester and later spending a decade as general sales manager of WJBR 99.5 in Wilmington, Delaware. He joined Delaware Today as director of sales and marketing in 1994, helped launch Main Line Today in 1996, and later returned to Today Media as associate publisher of Delaware Today before moving into business development, including the company's custom publishing division.
