Use of DataThe Writing Cooperative began as an arm of online writing platform Medium. By 2014, the Cooperative took off on its own. It now has 100,000 followers on line and over 2,000 Substack subscribers. They offer advice, support, and encouragement for writers of all genres to connect with others worldwide and build craftsmanship.
Their website is membership based. They take no income ads or the sale of user information. Members have access to each others writings. A writer can earn money for each person who reads their work. They also offer blogs like Market Yourself and Self-Publishing. You can also find them on social media sites like X/Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin. A podcast, This Week in Writing, existed through 2020. A Substack called This Week in Writing is hosted by Justin Cox.
