Greenfield, Massachusetts, USA
The Greenfield Recorder is a daily newspaper covering all of Franklin County, Massachusetts, and select towns in the North Quabbin Region, published Monday through Saturday. It is Franklin County's only newspaper of record and is owned by Newspapers of New England, Inc.
Originally published as The Impartial Intelligencier on Feb. 1, 1792, by Greenfield's first lawyer, William Coleman, making it one of the oldest daily newspapers in the United States and the second-oldest daily in Massachusetts. Printed in Greenfield for roughly 200 years before press operations moved to Northampton around the turn of the 21st century under Newspapers of New England ownership; production later shifted to a Gannett Co. press in Auburn, Massachusetts.
