Use of DataThe Atlanta Journal-Constitution is a daily broadsheet founded in 1868 published in Atlanta, Georgia. It is the flagship newspaper of Cox Media Group, operated by Cox Enterprises and owned by Apollo Global Management with the original owners, the Cox family, still retaining minority shares in the business. Joel Chandler Harris and Margaret Mitchell were two notable writers who worked for the Journal-Constitution. In the 1940s editor Ralph McGill was among the few editors who supported the Civil Rights movement.
