Thammasat University Digital Collections is the primary digital repository platform of Thammasat University Library in Bangkok, Thailand. It provides open access to a broad range of digitized materials from the university's holdings, including theses, research, rare books, archival documents, and historical collections.
Thammasat University, founded in 1934, is one of Thailand's premier public research universities. Its library system, one of the largest in the country with eleven branches across four campuses, has developed a substantial digital collections infrastructure. Thammasat University Library maintains over 1.3 million physical volumes and subscribes to 22 major online databases. The digital collections platform consolidates the university's major digitization initiatives into a single public-facing portal.
Notable collections on the platform include the Wat Bowonniwet Vihara Cremation Volume Collection (over 11,000 cremation volumes), the Archives of the History of Thai Codification (282 items), the Prof. Adul Wichiencharoen Archives (888 items), the Charnvit Kasetsiri personal collection, more than 30,000 theses submitted between 1982 and 2007, Thammasat University textbooks (1,079 volumes), and historical legal documents including court judgments and draft codes. The collections are particularly strong in Thai legal history, political history, and social sciences.
The platform is accessible online at digital.library.tu.ac.th. Most digitized theses and many rare books are freely downloadable in PDF format. Some collections are restricted to Thammasat University network users. The library also provides off-campus access via proxy server for affiliated users.
