The Thammasat History Collection is a curated digital resource maintained by Thammasat University Library in Bangkok, Thailand. It encompasses a range of digitized historical and archival materials related to the history of Thailand and Thammasat University, accessible online through the library's digital resources portal.
Thammasat University was founded in 1934 by Pridi Phanomyong and is one of Thailand's most prominent public research universities, with a particular reputation for law, social sciences, and political studies. Thammasat University Library operates nine branches and one learning center across four campuses, maintaining over 1.3 million physical volumes. The library has developed one of the largest digital collection systems in Southeast Asia, including the TU Digital Collections platform and dedicated sub-collections such as the Thammasat History Collection.
The Thammasat History Collection gathers digitized primary and secondary sources documenting the history of Thammasat University and broader Thai political, social, and cultural history. The broader TU digital ecosystem includes the Archives of the History of Thai Codification (282 items), the Prof. Adul Wichiencharoen Archives (888 items), the Charnvit Kasetsiri personal collection, theses from 1982 to 2007, cremation volumes from Wat Bowonniwet Vihara, and other historical documents.
