The Thai National Research Repository (TNRR) is a central open-access database of science, research, and innovation information for Thailand, managed by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. It serves as the principal national platform for discovering Thai research output across disciplines.
Efforts to consolidate Thai research information into a single searchable system began in 2001. The concept for TNRR was formally agreed upon at a meeting on August 25, 2010, at the Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI), where key national research funding agencies resolved to create an integrated research data warehouse. Founding participants included the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), the Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI), the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and others. The system aggregates three national databases: the National Research Innovation and Information System (NRIIS) and data contributed by research agencies across Thailand's research and innovation ecosystem.
TNRR provides open access to research projects, results, bodies of knowledge, theses, and inventions gathered from academic institutions and government research agencies throughout Thailand. The platform also offers open data access via API, and links to additional databases from government agencies such as the Department of Intellectual Property and the Department of Business Development.
TNRR is freely accessible online at tnrr.nriis.go.th. Open research data is also available via a dedicated open data API. No registration is required to search the repository.
