Biography

Pui-Wing Tam has served as technology editor of The New York Times since March 2015, overseeing the paper's business-desk coverage of the technology industry. She previously spent time at Bloomberg News as U.S. technology team leader, and before that spent 18 years at The Wall Street Journal, where she worked as a staff reporter in Hong Kong and New York and later as deputy bureau chief and technology correspondent and editor in San Francisco. She holds a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Oxford University, and interned at The Economist early in her career.
