Ownership

Tallapoosa Publishers is owned by Kenneth Boone, son of Boone Newspapers Inc. founder James B. "Jim" Boone Jr. Boone Newspapers purchased The Outlook in 1974; Kenneth Boone became its publisher in 1989 and purchased the paper for himself from Boone Newspapers, Inc. in 1991. Tallapoosa Publishers operates independently of Boone Newsmedia, Inc. (BNI).

History

The Alexander City Outlook was founded in 1892. Boone Newspapers purchased it in 1974 from publisher J.C. Henderson. Kenneth Boone became publisher in 1989 and bought the paper in 1991.
