The Taipei City Archives (臺北市立文獻館) is a dedicated professional educational institution for the promotion of cultural assets and a center for the collection of Taipei City's cultural and historical information. The archives function under the Taipei City Government's Department of Cultural Affairs.
The Taipei City Archives collect, edit, and store previously published documents as well as recorded interviews of notable individuals and distinguished scholars. The scope of their collections encompasses astronomy, geography, social conditions, folk customs, individual biographies, arts and literature, historic sites, music, and more. Holdings include primary documents on Taipei City's urban, social, and cultural history, as well as oral history materials.
The archives are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 17:00. Their digital collections are searchable through an online collections portal. Physical materials are accessible at the archives' location in Wanhua District, Taipei City.
