Mike Steib served as president and CEO of TEGNA Inc., a local broadcast and digital media company operating 64 television stations in 51 U.S. markets, from August 12, 2024, succeeding Dave Lougee. He stepped down in March 2026 after Nexstar Media Group closed its acquisition of TEGNA, with Patrick Paolini named CEO of the company as it continued to operate independently of Nexstar pending an antitrust review. Before TEGNA, Steib was CEO of Artsy, the online marketplace for buying and selling art, from 2019 to 2024, and CEO of XO Group Inc., the parent company of wedding-planning brand The Knot, where his five-year tenure produced a 300% total shareholder return. Earlier in his career, he worked at Google as managing director of emerging platforms, at NBCUniversal as general manager of strategic ventures, and at McKinsey & Company. He hosted the podcast Office Hours with Mike Steib (2023–2024) for iHeartMedia and is the author of The Career Manifesto: Discover Your Calling and Create an Extraordinary Life (Penguin Random House, 2018). Steib holds bachelor's degrees in economics and international relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
