The State Archives of the City of Kyiv (Ukrainian: Державний архів міста Києва) is a regional state archive serving as a structural subdivision of the Kyiv Municipal State Administration. It operates under the authority of the Kyiv Municipal Council and the State Archival Service of Ukraine, storing documents relating to the history of Kyiv from the seventeenth century to the present day.

History and Founding

The archive's organizational status as a structural subdivision of the Kyiv Municipal State Administration was formalized by a decision of the Kyiv Municipal Council on Deputies (No. 584/744) on 10 July 2003. Its collections incorporate records accumulated over several decades of Soviet-era archival administration. The archive is located at Oleny Telihy Street 23 in Kyiv.

The archive stores documentary materials spanning from the seventeenth to the twenty-first century. Its holdings include records of higher and secondary educational establishments (universities, technical schools, colleges, and other institutions), health care and social security bodies, judicial organizations, public organizations, and personal documentary collections.
