Use of DataThe Skåne Regional Archives (Swedish: Regionarkivet Skåne) is the official archival institution of Region Skåne, Sweden's southernmost region. It is responsible for preserving and providing access to the records generated by Region Skåne and its predecessor county councils (landsting). The archive operates in accordance with the Swedish Archives Act (1990:782).
The Skåne Regional Archives is part of Arkivcentrum Syd (Archive Centre South) in Lund, which is described as the largest archival institution in Scandinavia. The centre also houses the Regional State Archives in Lund (Landsarkivet i Lund), Lund University's archive (Universitetsarkivet), the Folk Life Archives (Folklivsarkivet), and the Lund City Archives (Lunds stadsarkiv), sharing reading rooms with approximately 70 seats and over 450,000 meters of shelving.

Additional materials include minutes of political bodies, historical records from Skåne county councils, property documents and architectural drawings, and timetables from the Skånetrafiken public transport system.
Members of the public may request access to documents and copies. The archive's finding aids are searchable via an online inventory at arkivforteckning.skane.se. Researchers may view documents in the shared reading rooms at Arkivcentrum Syd during published opening hours.
