The Silliman University Institutional Repository (SUIR) is the official digital repository of the Silliman University Library System, located in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Philippines. It serves as a centralized platform for preserving and providing open access to the academic and scholarly output produced by the Silliman University community.
Silliman University, founded in 1901 by the Presbyterian Board of Foreign Missions, is the first Protestant institution of higher education in the Philippines and in Asia. Established initially as Silliman Institute, it became the first school outside of Manila to receive university status in 1938. The university is widely regarded as one of the leading research universities in the Philippines and has been declared a national landmark.
