Kalpana Sharma is a freelance Indian journalist. She is the recipient of the Chameli Devi Jain Award for Outstanding Women Mediapersons, for her work at Indian Express, Times of India, and the Hindu. She has published books of reportage on slum life in Mumbai (Rediscovering Dharavi; Penguin, 2000) and violence against women in India (The Silence and the Storm; Aleph, 2019).
