ScholarBank@NUS is the digital institutional repository of the National University of Singapore (NUS), one of Asia's leading research universities. Managed by NUS Libraries, the repository collects, archives, preserves, and provides open online access to the research output of NUS to maximize the visibility and usage of the university's scholarly work.
ScholarBank@NUS was established to support NUS's open access and research dissemination goals. The repository was upgraded in November 2017 to also accept research data underpinning published findings by NUS authors, extending its scope beyond traditional publications to include datasets with persistent identifiers (Handle and DOI).
The repository houses a broad range of scholarly output including journal articles, conference papers, datasets, teaching materials, patented works, and student theses and dissertations. Masters theses and PhD dissertations submitted after September 2003 are available through ScholarBank@NUS. Holdings span all major academic disciplines taught at NUS, from engineering and medicine to social sciences and humanities.
ScholarBank@NUS is publicly accessible at scholarbank.nus.edu.sg. Most content is openly available; some materials are restricted to NUS staff and students due to publisher embargo policies. The repository uses DSpace software and supports OAI-PMH harvesting for integration with global open-access aggregators including OpenAIRE. Researchers can browse by communities, dates, or types, and search using full-text and metadata-based queries.
