Biography

Tom Ryan is the founder of The Undertoad, a Newburyport, Massachusetts newspaper he published and edited for more than a decade before selling it in 2007. After leaving newspapers, he moved to the White Mountains of New Hampshire and became a bestselling author, writing Following Atticus, an account of hiking New Hampshire's four-thousand-foot peaks with his miniature schnauzer, and its follow-up, Will's Red Coat, about rehabilitating an elderly rescue dog. He continues to write as an author and freelance journalist.
