It allows users to discover articles, books, dissertations, and other scholarly materials produced at WUR, many of which are available in full text via open access.
Wageningen University & Research is a globally prominent institution specialising in life sciences, with a particular focus on agriculture, food, and the living environment. Its history dates to 1876, when an agricultural college was established in Wageningen. The institution became Wageningen University in 1918, and merged with DLO research institutes in the late 1990s to form the current Wageningen University & Research (WUR). In 2016, the university and its research institutes adopted a single unified brand. WUR consistently ranks among the world's leading universities in agricultural and food science.
The Research@WUR portal indexes publications from WUR's extensive research programme, covering areas including food systems, biodiversity, climate, environmental science, water management, soil science, animal sciences, and social sciences. The portal supports browsing by researcher, department, and topic, and includes a geographical map indicating international collaborations. Many publications are full text and freely accessible, indicated by an open-access logo.
The portal is freely accessible at research.wur.nl. No login is required to search and browse. Open-access materials can be downloaded directly; some publications are available only through publisher platforms.
