Ownership

RealClear Media Group's properties are held by Real Clear Holdings LLC. Real Clear Holdings is owned by Crest Media, founded by Jamal Daniel, and Real Clear Investors, led by RealClearPolitics co-founders John McIntyre and Tom Bevan and co-owner Anand Ramanujan. In October 2025, Stagwell Inc. announced an investment giving it a 35 percent ownership position in Real Clear Holdings LLC.

History

RealClearPolitics was founded in 2000 by John McIntyre and Tom Bevan. Forbes Media took a 51 percent equity stake in Real Clear Holdings in 2007. In 2015, Crest Media and the original owners purchased Forbes Media's remaining equity stake. RealClear Media Group was formed as an umbrella organization to oversee the fourteen RealClear sites, with Erin Waters named its inaugural president. In October 2025, Stagwell Inc. acquired a 35 percent ownership position in Real Clear Holdings LLC.
