Biography

Chris Rausch is publisher and owner of the Cape Gazette, a newspaper serving Sussex County's beach communities in Delaware that sells more than 23,000 print copies weekly and draws millions of unique website visitors annually. A Delaware native, he began his career in Delaware media at television station WBOC, then joined the Cape Gazette in 2003, remaining with the paper for more than two decades. At the end of 2021, he purchased the Cape Gazette, which now employs 20 full-time staff members. He serves on the boards of the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association (MDDC).
