The Parliament of Kenya, National Assembly, Hansard Reports Repository is a digital reference platform that stores and preserves the verbatim records of plenary and committee proceedings of Kenya's National Assembly. Its primary objective is to preserve information on lawmaking for online reference.
The publication of Hansard reports in Kenya follows the UK parliamentary model and has long been a function of the Directorate of Hansard and Audio Services. The Directorate is also the official archivist for the National Assembly, responsible for custodianship of all Journals, Reports, Papers, Magazines, and National Assembly Proceedings. The digital repository platform made the archive accessible online, extending reach beyond the physical parliamentary premises.
The repository holds digitized Hansard reports covering plenary and committee proceedings of the National Assembly across multiple parliamentary sessions, including the 11th Parliament (2013–2017), 12th Parliament (2017–2022), and the ongoing 13th Parliament (2022–2027). Records of both plenary and oversight/watchdog committee proceedings are maintained, with electronic versions of Hansard reports published within 48 hours of each sitting.
The repository is accessible online at hansardna.parliament.go.ke. Users can browse and download Hansard reports by session, date, and community type. The platform supports the principle of parliamentary transparency and provides government ministries, departments, the media, and the public with access to official records of National Assembly proceedings. Certified hard copy versions are available from the Hansard Editor upon request.
