Outrider

Outrider Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports multimedia information on the climate crisis and nuclear weapons. Outrider publishes an online weekly newsletter on how U.S. policy can sustain a safe and livable planet in the face of climate change and nuclear threats. Frank Burgess, founder of Madison Investments, founded Outrider Foundation. For many years, the foundation focused on local initiatives, but in 2015, Burgess shifted the mission of Outrider to specialize in two threats to humanity: climate change and nuclear weapons. In addition to the weekly publication, the foundation funds fellowships that support journalists and photojournalists who report on nuclear weapons and climate change. Outrider is also known for its innovative interactive maps that visually highlight the threats and impacts of climate change and nuclear weapons.
