Use of DataThe OASIS Repository (Open Access Scientific Information Service) is the institutional open access repository of the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), one of South Korea's leading science and technology research universities. The repository is operated by the POSTECH Library (Tae-joon Park Digital Library) in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.
POSTECH was founded on 3 December 1986 by POSCO, the South Korean steel company, with the goal of building a research-focused institution. The Tae-joon Park Digital Library opened on 25 April 2003. POSTECH has consistently ranked among the top universities in South Korea and Asia in science and technology fields, having been ranked first among science and technology universities in Asia by Asiaweek in 1998 and first in Korea multiple times by JoongAng Ilbo.
The OASIS Repository was developed under the national OAK (Open Access Korea) Repository project as POSTECH's institutional open access repository. It provides public access to academic theses, journal articles, research reports, and other scholarly outputs produced by POSTECH faculty, students, and researchers. Items in the repository are protected by copyright unless otherwise indicated. The repository uses DSpace software and follows international open access standards.
The OASIS Repository is freely accessible online at oasis.postech.ac.kr, allowing users to search, browse, and download available full-text research outputs. It is integrated with the POSTECH Library's broader resource management system, which uses the Ex Libris Alma platform. Registration with a POSTECH affiliation is required for certain submission functions.
