ScholarBank@NUS is the institutional repository of the National University of Singapore (NUS), serving as the primary platform for collecting, preserving, and showcasing research outputs of NUS researchers and departments. While also housing publications, it functions as the university's research data repository, accepting research datasets in addition to journal articles, theses, and other scholarly outputs.
ScholarBank@NUS was established by NUS Libraries to support open access scholarly communication and preserve the university's research outputs. From November 2017, the repository was expanded to accept research data produced by NUS researchers. Persistent identifiers (Handle and DOI) are generated for all archived datasets, facilitating citation and long-term access.
ScholarBank@NUS holds journal articles, conference papers, datasets, teaching materials, patented works, and student theses. The repository supports open access mandates from NUS-affiliated funding agencies and provides a stable, permanent archive for all submitted content. Metadata standards include DataCite Metadata Schema and Dublin Core. The repository uses the DSpace open-source platform.
The repository is openly accessible at scholarbank.nus.edu.sg. Deposit is restricted to NUS staff and students with valid credentials. Research data underlying published findings by NUS authors may be deposited to fulfil open data requirements from funders. DOIs minted through the repository are registered via DataCite.
