The Japan Times, Ltd., a publicly traded subsidiary based in Tokyo publishes Japan’s oldest (founded in 1897) English-language daily broadsheet, The Japan Times. The newspaper, regarded as a dependable information source around the world, reported in 2017 having a staff of 130. Japan Times, Ltd. also publishes The Japan Times Weekend Edition and the Japan Times Alpha (designed for classroom study).
