National Law Publishing Company, Inc. was the historical parent company of The National Law Journal and New York Law Journal. Its titles are now published under ALM.
American Lawyer Media (ALM) acquired National Law Publishing Company from Boston Ventures in October 1997. Following a March 2025 merger with Law Business Research (LBR), ALM's core legal publications, including the National Law Journal and New York Law Journal, are now part of a combined global legal intelligence group backed by Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) and Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP), led by Group CEO Nick Brailey. ALM's separate Business & Finance division was spun off in May 2025 as Touchpoint Markets and acquired in July 2025 by Arc Networks, a company owned by EagleTree Capital, ALM's prior owner.
