MYMDDC consolidates hydrographic, meteorological, AIS (Automatic Identification System), and related marine datasets into a single digital platform.
MYMDDC hosts marine data and key documents relevant to Marine Risk Assessments approved by the JLM MRA Evaluation Committee. Data categories include:
MYMDDC is accessible online and functions as a resource for industry stakeholders, researchers, and government bodies conducting MRA studies in Malaysia. The platform supports compliance with requirements under Section 491B(3) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance 1952, which mandates MRAs for activities posing risks to maritime safety.
