ABP Group - Chief Executive Officer
ABP Network - Interim Head
Dhruba Mukherjee is chief executive officer of ABP Group, the Indian media conglomerate behind Anandabazar Patrika, The Telegraph, and the ABP News television network family. Founded in 1922 as a four-page Bengali-language evening daily, ABP Group has grown into a multi-platform media house with twelve premier publications, six 24-hour national television news channels, a book publishing business, a radio channel, and digital and matrimony businesses. In 2024, Mukherjee took on additional responsibility to helm ABP Network on an interim basis following the departure of its longtime CEO, Avinash Pandey, with all reporting lines shifting to him alongside his existing role heading the publishing company. He has spoken publicly about ABP's transition from print to television and digital, including the network's partnership and eventual buyout of Star News' stake to create ABP News, and its more recent expansion into South Indian markets. Mukherjee also serves as Vice Chairman of Tech Comm, an Indian broadcast-technology industry body.
