ITN - former Middle East Correspondent and Diplomatic and Foreign Affairs Editor
Robert Moore is a British journalist and senior correspondent for ITV News, based in Washington, D.C. He joined ITN in the mid-1980s and has reported from London, Moscow, Brussels and Jerusalem, serving as ITN's Middle East Correspondent and its Diplomatic and Foreign Affairs Editor before becoming ITV's Washington Correspondent. He was the only television reporter in the world embedded with the crowd that stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, coverage for which he won the Royal Television Society's Network Television Journalist of the Year award and was named Journalist of the Year by the Foreign Press Association London and Press Gazette in 2021; his follow-up documentary, Storming the Capitol, won the Best News/Current Affairs Programme award at the 2022 Broadcast Awards. Moore has also won an International News Prize from the Royal Television Society for his coverage of the West Bank and two gold medals at the New York Film & TV Festival for reporting on refugees during the Rwandan Civil War. He is the author of A Time to Die: The Kursk Disaster (Bantam, 2007), an account of the 2000 Russian submarine disaster.
