Use of DataBertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA is a German media conglomerate. It was founded in 1835 by Carl Bertelsmann. It is now primarily controlled by the family of Reinhard Mohn, who helped Carl Bertelsmann expand the original publishing house into a large conglomerate.
Reinhard Mohn died in 2009, and since then his wife Liz Mohn has been running BVG. Since 2021, Reinhard Mohn's son Christoph Mohn has been Chair, and Reinhard Mohn's grandson Carsten Coesfeld has a seat on the board of directors.
