Biography

Michael W. Biard is president and chief operating officer of Nexstar Media Group, a position he assumed on August 21, 2023, succeeding Thomas Carter. He oversees Nexstar's divisional operations, long-term strategy, and corporate and administrative functions, including broadcasting, networks, distribution, and advertising sales. He spent 23 years at Fox, most recently as president of operations and distribution from November 2018 to August 2023, overseeing Fox's studio operations and corporate real estate, sports rights strategy, and multi-platform content distribution for Fox Sports, Fox Entertainment, and Fox News. From November 2013 to October 2018, he served as president of distribution for Fox Networks Group, overseeing distribution for Fox Broadcasting Company, FX, Fox News, Fox Sports, and National Geographic. In July 2024, Biard was appointed to the National Association of Broadcasters Television Board of Directors. He holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia University and a J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
