Use of DataKevin Merida is a journalist and executive editor at the Los Angeles Times. After graduating from Boston University, Merida furthered his journalistic skills at the University of California, Berkeley's "Summer Program for Minority Journalists."
In 1983, the Dallas Morning News hired Merida's. For 22 years, beginning in 1993, he reported for the Washington Post. Following his tenure, he became a chairman of ESPN's editorial board where he served as the senior VP and editor-in-chief. In May 2016, Merida supervised the creation and launch of Andscape, a multimedia platform exploring the intersections of race, sports, and culture. Andscape took over from the ESPN Undefeated brand (a trademark not owned by Disney) expanding it into book publishing, live experiences, music, television and film.
