Biography

Derek May is president of Morris Publishing Group, LLC, the newspaper division of Morris Communications. He was named to the role in 2016 by William S. Morris IV, president and CEO of Morris Communications, after 27 years with the company spanning technology, circulation, advertising sales, and news roles across a number of Morris markets. May previously served as a publisher within the group and as assistant to the president before becoming executive vice president of Morris Publishing in May 2011. He represents Georgia newspapers on the board of the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association and holds a degree in computer science from Augusta State University.
