Biography

Mark Rhoades was president and publisher of Enterprise Media Group (EMG), a sixth-generation, family-owned newspaper, printing and marketing company headquartered in Blair, Nebraska, that traced its roots to a single weekly newspaper founded in 1869. Under Rhoades, EMG grew into a group publishing twelve weekly newspapers and five total-market-coverage shoppers across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa, alongside commercial printing and direct-mail services. In January 2025, Rhoades and his son and business partner, Chris Rhoades, sold EMG to Carpenter Media Group, ending the family's ownership after more than 150 years. Rhoades studied at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
