Stefanie Manning is president and publisher of the Maine Trust for Local News, which owns four of Maine's daily newspapers - the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram, the Sun Journal, the Kennebec Journal and the Morning Sentinel - along with 17 weekly newspapers and a commercial printing operation. She joined the organization in 2013 after more than 20 years in magazine marketing and publishing at New York Magazine, SELF Magazine, Newsweek, BusinessWeek and, most recently, 13 years as Associate Publisher of O, The Oprah Magazine at Hearst. At the Maine Trust she led its consumer revenue business for a decade before being named chief of staff and then, in December 2024, managing director, a role from which she was promoted to president and publisher. Manning is a graduate of Ohio University and also co-produces Portland's Harvest on the Harbor food and drink festival and co-owns the Miss Portland Diner.
