Biography

Lynn Beall joined TEGNA, then Gannett Broadcasting, in 1988 and held marketing, programming, and sales positions at five stations, including WUSA in Washington, D.C., KPNX in Phoenix, KTHV in Little Rock, WKYC in Cleveland, and KSDK in St. Louis. She served as president and general manager of KSDK from 1998 to 2014, was named senior vice president in 2001 and executive vice president in 2006, and was twice named TEGNA's Manager of the Year. She subsequently served as executive vice president and senior vice president of Gannett Broadcasting. In 2017 she was named executive vice president and chief operating officer of media operations for TEGNA, overseeing the company's growth from 12 stations in 1988 to 64 stations reaching approximately 39 percent of U.S. television households, along with news and content strategy, revenue growth, and network and retransmission relationships. In September 2024, TEGNA announced Beall's planned departure from the company in mid-2025 following a transition period. She served as vice chair of the National Association of Broadcasters Television Board and chair of the CBS Television Affiliates Association Board's executive committee from November 2021 through August 2024. Beall holds a journalism degree from the University of Kansas.
